Conference

We hold a major annual international conference, plus workshops and forums at various times throughout the year. These events feature keynote addresses, paper and poster sessions, hands-on tutorials, special interest group (SIG) meetings, and practitioner showcases that highlight emerging methods, tools, and pedagogies in digital applied linguistics.

Journal

We also publish peer-reviewed research articles through our publications Applied Language Innovation and Digital Applied Linguistics. Our journals welcome empirical studies, methodological papers, theoretical contributions, and practice-oriented reports that address topics such as computer-/mobile-/AI-assisted language learning, corpus and data-driven approaches, multimodal communication, assessment and analytics, and digital literacies.

Membership

Membership in GloDAL is not required for attending our events or submitting to our publications; however, we encourage interested participants to consider membership. Members receive benefits such as reduced event fees, early access to calls for papers, eligibility for SIG participation and leadership roles, mentoring opportunities, and access to member-only webinars and networking spaces.

To stay informed about calls, deadlines, and community news, you may wish to join our Facebook Page. For inquiries about membership, submissions, or partnerships, please contact our Secretariat or visit our website.

Digital Applied Linguistics

Digital Applied Linguistics (DAL) is the first and only journal that sits at the intersection of applied linguistics and digital interfaces. In our rapidly evolving digital age, traditional theories and practices in applied linguistics have struggled to keep pace with advancements in science and technology. DAL seeks to publish papers that resonate with a broad readership, promoting connections among scholarly discourses, theories, and research methods from various fields in AL, while addressing contemporary issues in our global digital landscape.
