The Global Digital Applied Linguistics Association (GloDAL) invites expressions of interest from dedicated scholars and practitioners to join us as Executive Members for a groundbreaking project: launching a suite of new, innovative open-access journals.

Our Vision

To create a dynamic, digitally-native scholarly ecosystem that addresses emerging gaps, promotes interdisciplinary dialogue, and leverages digital tools to disseminate research rapidly and globally.

We Are Looking For Individuals Who Possess

  • Connection & Influence:An established network within your sub-field of Applied Linguistics (e.g., CALL, Multilingualism & Technology, AI in Language Education, Digital Discourse Analysis, Language Policy in Digital Spaces).
  • Passion & Vision:A clear, innovative idea for a new journal focus that meets a current or future need in our rapidly evolving field.
  • Leadership & Drive:The entrepreneurial spirit to build and lead an editorial team, attract high-quality submissions, and steward a journal to international recognition.
  • Digital Fluency:Comfort with and enthusiasm for digital workflows, open science principles, and innovative publishing models.

The Role: Founding Editor & Executive Member

  • As a successful candidate, you will hold a dual role:
      1. As a Founding Editor:You will have the primary responsibility for defining the scope, assembling an editorial board, and overseeing the peer review and content development for one of our new flagship journals.
      2. As an Executive Member of GloDAL:You will join our core governing council, contributing to the strategic direction of the association, influencing publishing policies, and helping to foster our global community.
